Midsummer? Already?… Yes! And at PA, we’re getting ready to welcome everybody to school at the end of August. “Getting ready” includes a lovely redesign of our Health and Admissions Offices, which will provide direct access to the Health Office from the hallway and other benefits; a scheduled addition of a new Grill Line to our fabulous food service; and groundbreaking on the long-anticipated Marian Shrine near Schmidt Lake Road. And many more exciting plans are in the works.
Getting ready also involves welcoming new faculty and staff members. I’m tremendously excited by the new additions, who will bring mission commitment, passion, preparation, and loads of talent to the benefit of our children and the rest of us. God be praised.
Another development is the Upper School plan for a start time this fall of 8:20 a.m., announced last week. Initially to be called “Zero Period,” The 8-minute period will provide focused opportunities for daily House encounters and mentoring, announcements, uniform and grooming checks, etc. Zero Period will also help alleviate morning drop-off traffic. This development will not affect start times in Lower or Middle School.
We so look forward to seeing you before very long. Enjoy the second half of summer until then!
