PAPA President Helen Healy

Mrs. Helen Healy, President

Helen Healy is the President of the parent association. After she graduated from Benedictine College, she traveled with NET Ministries for two years, where she met her husband, Tim. They have been married for over 25 years, and Providence Academy has helped them raise and educate their seven children. Helen is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Benedictine College and NET Ministries, and she coordinates the work of the Cana Family Institute at Providence. PAPA gives her a way to give back to the community that has given her family so much.



Mrs. Diane Beauchamp, Vice President

Diane Beauchamp brings over 30 years of corporate experience, as well as that of a mother of five, to her role as Vice President of PAPA. She grew up in the Minneapolis area but spent most of her career near Washington DC. She, her husband David, and their youngest children were relocated back to Minnesota three years ago and were delighted to discover Providence Academy. Diane and her David currently have children in third, seventh, and eleventh grades.


Mrs. Lisa Prom, Upper School Vice President

Lisa Prom is the Vice President of the Upper School. She and her husband, Jim, have had three daughters attend PA since 2001. Their youngest is currently a senior. Lisa has supported a number of events throughout the years, including the Gala, Advent Holiday Boutique, Grandparents’/Special Persons’ Day, and the Fall Fun Fair. Beyond her volunteer capacity at PA, she works in sales in the medical device industry.


Mrs. Heather Somers, Middle School Vice President

Heather Somers is mom to twin daughters, current sixth graders Kerry and Clare. A Connecticut native, she and her husband, Alan, moved to the Twin Cities 14 years ago after stints in Nashville, Chicago, and Ohio. They recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary. While Heather’s work as an attorney keeps her busy, in her free time she enjoys baking with her girls, sewing, and working on a good New York Times crossword puzzle.


Dr. Anne Ryan, Lower School Vice President, 3rd-5th Grade

Anne Ryan is the Lower School Vice President for the third through fifth grades. She and her husband, Steve, are parents to six children, ages 8 to 19, including third grader Joe and fifth grader Peter. This is her second year of service on the PAPA board, which has offered a wonderful opportunity to serve the Providence community and contribute positively to the health of the school.


Mrs. Lauren Olson, Lower School Vice President, Pre-K-2nd Grade

Lauren Olson serves as the Lower School Vice President for Kindergarten through Second Grade. She is the proud mother of two girls, kindergartner Ellie and three year old Cora, and wife to Ben. In addition her volunteer role at Providence Academy, she works full time as a realtor at Lakes Sotheby’s International Realty and owns and manages Canoe & Paddle, Co., a Midwest apparel company. Prior to her current roles, she has led and managed corporate strategies for U.S. Bank and Xcel Energy in financial education, foundation and civic and political engagement. She is a very proud member of the Providence Academy community.



Donna Azarian, Secretary

Donna Azarian is the PAPA Secretary. She and her husband, Martin, have been a part of the Providence Academy community since 2004. They have two daughters, 2012 alumna Alexa and freshman Adriana. Donna has been an active part of the parent community. She’s served as a co-chairperson for the 2009 Gala, two years as the concessions chairperson of the Lower School Fall Fun Fair, founded and moderates the Providence Academy Mom’s Facebook page, participates in the parent bible study group, and volunteers at Admissions events and the annual Grandparents’/Special Persons’ Day celebration. Prior to her work at Providence, Donna led leadership roles in sales for over 13 years.



Paul Happe, Treasurer

Paul Happe is the PAPA Treasurer, serving a term from July 2018 through June 2020. Paul and his wife Heidi have been Providence Academy parents for 13 years and currently have two children at PA. Paul has led highly performing Finance teams in the healthcare industry for over twenty years and had also led multiple pharmacy operations teams. Paul has an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
