Location and Campus
Designed in the Georgian colonial style of the Christopher Wren Building at the college of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, Providence Academy’s bold exterior is reflected in its interior, including white columns that line the dining room and auditorium areas.
In addition to classrooms designed to emphasize space and comfortability, amenities include modern science, technology, and computer laboratories, three gymnasiums, an artificial turf field for football, soccer and lacrosse (covered by a dome in winter), softball fields, tennis courts, a track, a state-of-the-art peforming arts center, and a chapel. Providence Academy prides itself on the fine quality of facilities it offers its students.
The commons and cafeteria has been designed for 1,000 students. The Upper School wing features a large seminar room with graduated seating, a metal shop, wood shop, “artist loft” art studio, physics lab, biology lab, media center, two additional gymnasiums, band room, choir room and sixteen additional classrooms.
