Winter Admissions “Stay and Play” Saturday in the Dome

Tell friends and colleagues of a way to escape the weather by bringing their families to play in our dome this Saturday, January 25, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

While the kids enjoy the time to run around and play, parents can connect with our Admissions team to learn about admissions and financial aid, and help guide them through next steps. A campus tour will also be available.

“All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten”

Robert Fulghum’s classic is brought to the stage by our Middle School Players this weekend, January 24 and 25, at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center. Adapted for the stage, the show is high energy and lots of fun. (Disclaimer: At PA we believe you really need to know what we teach in grades 1-12 too!)

PA’s Winter Weather Procedure

The weather outside is frightful! So reviewing procedures becomes delightful:

In general, cold temperatures alone will not suffice for PA to close. In winter weather situations that do lead to a late start or school closure, the decision will generally be made and communicated by 6:30 a.m. We use a notification system to share information via each family’s phone numbers registered with the school. In addition, the information is broadcast on WCCO and KARE 11 TV and posted on their websites.

During a winter weather day when school is in session, any early dismissal will also be shared by notification system, TV, and TV websites. Important information about after-school and evening activities will be shared as well.

We always urge our bus drivers to make safety a priority over arrival timeliness and we encourage your family to do the same. The school makes ample provision for late arrivals on bad weather days without issuing tardies.

In addition, we honor a family’s decision not to travel to school whenever you judge your own situation to be unsafe.

If you have any questions regarding Providence Academy communications, feel free to call us at (763) 258-2500.
