Manager of Alumni and Community Engagement (Full-Time)

Providence Academy, a private, co-ed, Catholic college prep school in Plymouth, Minnesota, seeks a talented, dynamic professional to join a developing alumni and community engagement program.

The candidate will work with the Director of College Counseling and Alumni Engagement to administer all aspects of alumni engagement. This position is relationship-driven, and candidates must be able to connect and build a strong rapport with alumni, community partners, and other stakeholders. This position enjoys a 12-month schedule of duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects that strategically engage alumni in strengthening their relationship with the Academy and provide tangible benefits to the Academy 

  • Develop strong community relationships with businesses and vital community partners; coordinate the senior project advisory team to match students to right-fit project experiences

  • Assist the Director of College and Alumni Engagement in planning and implementing communications with alumni via alumni platform and direct communication to maintain school presence with alumni, both locally and (inter) nationally

  • Assist with alumni programming, including planning and execution of events (receptions, reunions, networking, etc), as well as programs for onboarding graduating seniors into the alumni community

  • Collaborate with the Development Officers to engage alumni in ways that lead to sustained Annual Giving success as part of a comprehensive program of philanthropic support for the Academy

Database Management and Data Analysis

  • Assist in management of the Providence Alumni CRM software to increase registrations and opportunities for alumni engagement (affinity groups, volunteer opportunities, job postings/networking)

  • Create alumni surveys and assist with analyzing and leveraging survey results

  • Aid in gathering data for reporting on alumni giving trends, benchmarks, and emerging opportunities.

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices in independent school alumni engagement, as well as participate in peer groups (online and in person) to identify opportunities, strategies, efficiencies and more to facilitate increased philanthropic support for Providence Academy.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, marketing, communications, education, or relevant field; minimum two years experience in at least one of these areas

  • Experience in managing relationships with key constituencies, preferably within an educational setting; understands how use media relations principles and practices

  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and independently

  • Demonstrably strong writing, event planning, data analysis, and organizational skills

  • Flexibility and initiative, as well as the ability to work independently, combined with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve institutional goals

  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information, as well as proficiency in managing digital donor records, including giving histories and other personal information

  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines

Secondary School Counselor (Full-Time)
Providence Academy seeks a full time 1.0 secondary school counselor for the current school year. This professional will be part of a student divisional student support team and will provide academic as well as social emotional counseling services to students.

Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in working with secondary age students with multiple licensures.

After-School Program Supervisor

Providence Academy, an exceptional private Catholic school in Plymouth, seeks a supervisor for their middle school after-school program each school day, beginning January 2022 through the end of the school year on June 7, 2022.  As supervisor, the employee will monitor and work with middle school students in an activity room at the end of the school day, from 3:15 to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Builds positive relationships with young people, consistent with the mission of Catholic education.

  • Is responsible for supervising students and creating a safe and positive environment for them to work after school.

  • Has a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Has experience working with young people

Interested candidates could combine this position with work as a substitute teacher or aide at the school.
