The campaign’s first phase, a remarkable 11-classroom addition for Providence Academy’s Upper School, was completed in August 2024, just in time for the 24-25 school year. This project was the most urgent, allowing PA to accommodate enrollment growth and plan classes appropriately for students in all three divisions.
Included in this addition are four new premium science labs, an athletic team meeting room, and an open air art terrace connected to our Upper School art classroom. Perhaps most incredible in the construction of this 25,000 square foot addition is the fact that no parking spaces were lost once construction concluded!

Thanks especially to a lead gift from the Pine Rock Foundation, we will break ground on Phase Two, a new athletics hospitality facility, in Summer 2025. This addition will feature a premium gathering area with a pine and rock motif, with seating and a fire pit, and an overall design reminiscent of the LA Coliseum. Permanent restrooms, concessions, and more will be available for games and events.
This facility will be situated at the south end of Mithun Field, and we extend much gratitude to the Mithun Family for their sustaining partnership in mission and philanthropy at PA.
Construction is scheduled for Summer and Fall 2025, with an estimated completion date in late October.
Finally, this summer we will revitalize our beloved Lower School playground with new paint and additional play equipment, plus an expanded usable footprint and a new playground surface of premium artificial turf. Construction on the playground is scheduled to finish before the 25-26 school year.
These projects serve as the culmination of our Brick by Brick – Building the Tradition Capital Campaign.
The campaign began with a feasibility study in 2022, and entered its quiet phase in Fall 2022. By Fall 2024 the campaign’s quiet phase had eclipsed $10,000,000, and the public phase was launched, sharing the Academy’s three major projects as goals to be funded. In December 2024 the campaign eclipsed the $14,000,000 goal, ensuring that the playground and athletic pavilion projects could commence in Summer 2025.
All of these stunning campus enhancements have been chiefly conceived and designed by Mr. Robert Cummins, founder and chairman. We offer very special gratitude to the Cummins family, whose visionary and sustaining leadership made—and continues to make—Providence Academy possible.
Thank you again to all whose generous participation in this campaign transforms the lives of Providence Academy students, brick by brick.
Thank you to the hundreds of families who contributed to ensure this campaign’s success.
