Extended Day

Lower School Extended Day

2020 – 2021 Extended Day Program

As with many programs, Morning Care, Little Pals, Kidventures, and the Homework Club are affected by the restrictions imposed by Covid safety regulations. We hope that when restrictions are able to be eased, we will be able to provide space for suspended portions of our care programs. Please read below for more specific information

Early Morning Care and the Great Room Breakfast Option

Early morning care and the breakfast option have been suspended as we re-open with Covid restrictions. At 8:00 am students may enter the building through the East (playground area) doors and go directly to their classrooms. PreK, Kindergarten, and first grade students will be met at the East doors by a staff member and escorted to their classrooms.

For Providence families needing a fee-based, supervised after-school care program, Kidventures and Little Pals are excellent on-site options where Lower School students can spend time with friends in a positive and safe environment. This year, due to Covid restrictions, we will have a limited number of spaces available. All enrollment will be for five days per week. Part-time enrollment will be opened after all five day enrollments are completed. There will be no drop-in care at this time.

Little Pals

This program is designed for our Pre-Kindergarten friends. It includes a daily snack, recess time, free play and organized activity times. Program hours are 3:05 – 6:00 pm

Kidventures

This program is designed for our Kindergarten – fifth grade friends. Students will be separated into groups according to age. It includes a daily snack, homework time, recess, free play and organized activity times. Program hours are 3:15 – 6:00 pm

Homework Club

Due to the needs of the Little Pals and Kidventures programs, Homework Club will not be offered at this time.

Spring Break

Our Extended Day coordinators also plan and supervise a fun and exciting all-day camp during the first week of Providence Academy’s spring break in March. Daily activities  include crafts, reading, games, enrichment activities, and outdoor play. This program remains under review. Information about its availability will be provided to LS families in early February.

Current program information and pricing will be made available soon for the 2020-2021 school year.  Please direct further questions to our program coordinator, Mrs. Danette Jaeger, at , or (763) 258-2522.
