We will be having lunch with all of the 8th grade girls this Thursday, May 1, regarding the dress attire for the 8th Grade Banquet coming up on May 21.
To ensure that we are all keeping up with Providence’s dress attire standards, please email a photo with your planned attire to Mrs. Claypool by May 15.
Please use the below as a reference to the dress policy for this event.
- Attire must be in keeping with Providence Academy’s general requirements of neatness, cleanliness, and modesty.
- Girls may choose to wear a dress, jumpsuit or slacks and top.
- Attire may not be low cut in the front or in the back.
- There may not be any visible cleavage in the front and the dress must not sit below the bra band in the back.
- Must have two-finger width or more straps.
- Dress length cannot exceed 2 inches above the knee – the wearing of nylons, leggings, tights, etc. does not negate the length requirement for dresses.
- Attire may not be overly form-fitting (showing the outline of undergarments or requiring one to go without proper undergarments).
- Clothing must be dress attire (no jeans).
- Dress or top cannot be sheer or have cut outs. Any lace/sheer overlay is not considered when accounting for the length of the dress. The solid/opaque portion of the dress must meet the length requirement.
- Cutouts are not permitted.
