This summer, we are pleased to offer an Introduction to Weightlifting program designed specifically for 7th and 8th grade students. This 8-week course provides a structured and supportive environment where student-athletes will learn proper lifting mechanics, safe equipment usage, and foundational strength-training principles.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction focused on correct form and technique to promote muscular development, enhance athletic performance, and reduce the risk of injury. Emphasis will be placed on building a strong technical foundation before progressing in intensity.
Core exercises covered in this program include, but are not limited to:
- Barbell Squat
- Bench Press
- Deadlift
- Olympic lifts such as the Power Clean and Power Snatch
This program is open to both boys and girls of all experience levels who are interested in improving strength, confidence, and overall athletic ability.
