In recent days, 2026-2027 registration opened for both the ACT and SAT. These national test sittings occur offsite on select Saturdays throughout the year. Those interested in taking the SAT should be cognizant of registering early, as seats are limited in Minnesota (especially in the Twin Cities).

For the PA-hosted ACT and PSAT/NMSQT, we would like to reiterate our fall in-school testing dates:

  • Tuesday, October 13th: ACT at Providence Academy for juniors (registered automatically but may opt out) and seniors (opt-in only). This ACT will be administered during regular school hours.
  • Thursday, October 15th: PSAT/NMSQT at Providence Academy for opt-in juniors only (sophomores will have the opportunity to take a practice PSAT in spring 2027). Please note that this is the Thursday of MEA Break. Juniors interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT should thus plan ahead to ensure their travel plans do not conflict with testing on the morning of 10/15/2026. Please register here ahead of the September deadline.

Please also note that, in addition to free practice tests for PA students, Providence Academy and Flying Colors (formerly Breakaway) Test Prep are offering small group ACT instruction this summer. This group course hosted at PA begins on Friday mornings from 9am-12pm on

July 31, August 7, 14, 21 and 28 and includes two full-length practice exams with complete score reports. Please access this link for more info. (registration is still open).

Please direct any questions to your assigned college counselor, who can also assist you with developing a college entrance testing plan for the years ahead.
