In recent days, 2026-2027 registration opened for both the ACT and SAT. These national test sittings occur offsite on predetermined Saturdays throughout the year. Those interested in taking the SAT should be especially cognizant of registering early, as seats are limited in Minnesota (especially in the Twin Cities).
For the PA-hosted ACT and PSAT/NMSQT, we would like to reiterate our fall in-school testing dates:
- Tuesday, October 13th: ACT at Providence Academy for juniors (registered automatically but may opt out) and seniors (opt-in only). This ACT will be administered during regular school hours.
- Thursday, October 15th: PSAT/NMSQT at Providence Academy for opt-in juniors only (sophomores will have the opportunity to take a practice PSAT in spring 2027). Please note that this is the Thursday of MEA Break. Juniors interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT should thus plan ahead to ensure their travel plans do not conflict with testing on the morning of 10/15/2026.
Please direct any questions to your assigned college counselor, who can also assist you with developing a college entrance testing plan for the years ahead. In the meantime, feel free to consult this resource put together by college counseling: College Entrance Testing Dates and Information for 2025-2026 Academic Year.
