ACT at PA:
All juniors and seniors opting-in to PA’s school administration of the ACT on 10/15 should plan to arrive to PA as usual and proceed to Homeroom at 8:20 a.m. After Homeroom, students will travel to their testing locations to begin the ACT. The standard-time ACT takes just under 3 hours to complete, plus pre-/post-test tasks and a 10-minute break. Students testing under the regular (v. extended) time frame will finish around 12:30 p.m (no later than 1pm) at which time they will be dismissed for the day (note: no lunch available to ACT testers on 10/15). Students are responsible for bringing two items to testing: a non-mechanical #2 pencil and an ACT-approved calculator (fresh batteries are also highly recommended). Students with testing accommodations have received additional details about testing location and timing to their PA email accounts. Please direct any ACT questions to Mr. Andrew Wolf, College Counselor and ACT Coordinator.

Contact Mrs. Hogan or Miss Greenwood in the College Center.
REMINDER: College Representatives Visits at PA Colleges are visiting PA and the most updated info. about these visits can be found in our PA College Visit User’s Guide HERE, in Naviance, as well as in morning announcements (for students). Additionally, your student should receive a system email from the Naviance platform if colleges on one of their college lists schedule a visit. Colleges will also inform our office (and students on their mailing lists) about public information sessions they are hosting in the Twin Cities region. These events are typically held at hotels, public libraries, or schools on weeknights or weekend afternoons. Students will receive information directly from colleges if they are on their mailing lists. Many colleges make note of an applicant’s “demonstrated interest” during admission deliberations. This favors students who have visited campus, attended the college’s visit to the high school, spoken to a college representative at a college fair, or accepted an invitation to meet with an admission representative during his or her stay in the Twin Cities. Questions? Contact Mrs. Hogan.
