Since 2007, College Day has been a staple of the Providence Academy Upper School calendar.  While it was not possible to host this program in its typical format for the last two years, we are excited to announce the return of our full College Day program on Wednesday, April 6.
Though travel restrictions are still in place for some college admission staff, we anticipate over 90 colleges in attendance at the traditional college fair, The College Day schedule is  as follows:

8:30 a.m. – 12:05 p.m. US students attend regular class schedule
12:05-12:40 p.m. Staggered Lunch for Grades 9-12
12:45 p.m. College Day Sessions* (various classroom locations)
1:30 p.m. College Fair in Gym A

*All sophomores and juniors will meet with College Counseling this week regarding requesting their session assignments.  Freshmen will all attend a grade level session about navigating the College Fair and will receive more information after Spring Break. Seniors will take part in special programming on College Day and will also receive more information after break.
The following is a partial list of sessions being planned (open to 10th/11th grade students and parents, unless otherwise noted):

  • College Search 101 (9th Grade Session)
  • Navigating Catholic Higher Education
  • Military Options
  • Intercollegiate Athletics
  • Advice on Choosing a Major
    and more

Please note: Sophomores and Juniors, along with faculty and staff, are asked to park off campus (shuttles will run to/from Beautiful Savior via PA bus transportation) on April 6 in order to accommodate our college visitors and parent attendees. In addition, we are looking for a few more parents to volunteer during College Day. Please sign up via SignUp Genius.
