As we continue to minimize our use of Chromebooks in the middle school, we are still requiring each student to have one for the school year. While using a more traditional system is valuable, the use of Chromebooks in middle school prepares our students to have the most well-rounded experience. Digital literacy and demands of the modern day are an important skill set that is essential for success.
With that being said, there are options for you to choose from. You may rent one from the school for $125 for the year and will need to return the chromebook at the end of the school year. Bringing your own device is also an option. If your student will be bringing a Chromebook from home, a couple options that would fit the needs would be the Acer Chromebook 511 or the 11A G8 HP Chromebook.
Along with details about orientation, the August information email will have the form of what you would like to do, rent or bring your own.
