Almost any edition of the Bible you read will have footnotes in Genesis indicating the text has come from various “sources,” labelled J,E,P and D. Modern scholars talk very confidently about the Bible being a pastiche of earlier texts, woven together by an unknown editor or “redactor.” How did this theory originate? Does the text itself necessitate such an interpretation? Most importantly, what impact does it have on believing the Bible is inspired? Do you want to know more? Come hear Dr. Arthur Hippler on Wednesday, April 3 at 10:20 in the US Lecture Hall.  all are welcome to attend.
