Providence Parents and Students.
The Providence Academy Trap shooting team is going to have a fall season!
Any student who has previous experience on the team can sign up now until September 14th. We will start practicing the following Friday at Park sports in Orono and continue for the following 6 Fridays. The scores will post in November.  This is a great opportunity to shake off your rusty shoulder and improve your skills.  Trap shooting is the safest High School sport, with no injuries or concussions to date. We are outside and spaced apart so we can enjoy our sport in the safest Covid-19-free atmosphere.
Safety is the first element that is instilled in trapshooting, due to the equipment we use. Fun is the second element that we encourage. It is exhilarating to break clays in pursuit of a perfect game. Performance is the third element that is honed to perfection. Every person on the team can have a perfect game where they break all 25 clays. Coach White and I will help any student improve their skill and outcome if they listen and practice more perfectly.
If your student has not performed on the team but is interested in joining for the fall season, please email or call me in the next 2 weeks..
It is important to note that every player must have a league-approved firearms safety course.
The High School Trapshooting league started right here in Plymouth, and Providence Academy’s trap team has already accomplished much, including a perfect game in competition. (All 5 members scored a 25 in the same game)
This lifelong sport could be just what your student needs to improve their self-respect, shotgun skills, and respect for others.
Please call me if you have any specific questions.
We are looking forward to a wonderful fall season on the range.
