We are ready to kick off our annual Director’s Reading Challenge in the Lower School! All students in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to accept the Challenge. Each grade level’s teachers have determined what the Challenge will be for their students. Parents are asked to certify that their child has completed the requirements each month that their child participates.

Students who meet monthly goals have their names posted in the Library. Students who meet their goals every month from October through May receive an award at the end of the school year. In June, these students are awarded a medal from Mrs. Galgano for their first challenge award and a gold pin to add to their medal ribbon each year following that they meet the Challenge.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for school-age children to grow in the habit of reading and practice the virtue of perseverance to meet a long-term goal. We hope that your child will participate in the Challenge!
