Senior Parent College Night on 9/7: Senior parents are invited to attend this annual presentation with the college counseling team on Wednesday, September 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall. We will discuss the year ahead and how you can best support your student in completing his or her college applications and deciding where to enroll.
Senior Parent Survey Form for College Recommendation: We will also ask senior parents to complete the Parent Feedback (for their student’s college counselor) via Naviance. Parents will need to login via their assigned parent account to complete the survey, though the questions are available for preview prior to completing the official feedback form in Naviance. If you need assistance logging into Naviance, please contact Mrs. Hogan.
Fall College Essay Workshop: We invite seniors to register for a Fall College Essay Workshop, which will be held on Saturday, October 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This workshop is intended to give students one additional opportunity to work extensively with PA college counselors and faculty on college essays and supplement questions in a workshop format. As always, the college counselors are available throughout the summer and fall for essay assistance and feedback, but we expect that the Fall Essay Workshop might be helpful to students managing a large number of required essays and/or who were unable to attend Bootcamp. The registration fee for the Fall Essay Workshop will be $50 (registration will open in September).
Opt-in ACT at PA on 10/18/22 (for Seniors and Juniors): Seniors may either opt-in to take the ACT exam or have college application support and programming with the college counselors that day. Register HERE no later than September 7. Questions? Please contact Mrs. McMullin at
College Representatives at PA (and Regional Information Sessions): We have over 60 college representatives scheduled for daytime visits to PA from mid-September to late October. These are scheduled before and after school, as well as during elective periods. Scheduled visits will be included in Naviance Student, the E-Bulletin, and in announcements. Additionally, your student will receive a system email from the Naviance platform if colleges on one of their college lists schedule a visit.
