Each of the divisional VPs sums up this past school year.
It has been another tremendous year for the Lower School at Providence Academy. A few highlights have included: the new family welcome event, Fall Fun Fair, Ice Cream Social, Sock Hop, Gala, and the Family Service Project. We are excited to welcome summer and a new school year, while sad to see Anne Ryan’s tenure on the PAPA Board conclude. Anne has been a pivotal role in PAPA over the past two years. Please join us in thanking her for her efforts when you see her next. We are excited to welcome Dani Johansen, alumni and PA parent as the new LS VP (3-5) for 2019/20 and 2020/21. We have loved getting to know the Lower School families and appreciate all of the incredible volunteers this past year; you have made it one for the record-books. Lauren Olson
With the help of so many great volunteers, PAPA organized or supported some great activities for our Middle Schoolers this year. Everyone had a blast at the Homecoming Party and the class Christmas Parties. PAPA also supplied snack bags for our trip to the Mass of the Holy Spirit at US Bank Stadium. Catholic Schools week in January is the event everyone looks forward to for the annual MS Root Beer Float Party! Thanks to the generous donation of the nice folks at Honey and Mackies, we had enough ice cream to give each Lower School student a small scoop during their lunch period as well! Most recently, a bunch of MS parents had the idea that we needed another party…so they organized a Spring Game Night that was hugely popular. PAPA provided snacks that kept everyone energized for a night of fun. None of these events would be possible without the volunteers who so graciously offer their ideas and energy! Many thanks! PAPA supported and organized many events and activities within the Upper School this year. Key highlights include: Our first year of Construction crew surprises throughout the year, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son events both at Top Golf, 2nd year of Advent Boutique, 2nd year of College transition roundtable for parents, and continued outreach to all new US families. Thank you to all Upper School parents who volunteered your time and energy to help with these events. It has been another incredible year serving Providence Academy! Lisa Prom
