In the summer of 2020, the Providence Academy Science Department is sponsoring an opportunity to participate in tropical science research in partnership with Seeds of Change. On this trip students will learn to use science research skills to study leaf cutter ant communities, and learn about the antibiotic discovery program that has grown out of the basic research of leaf-cutter ants. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the beauty of God’s creation in the biologically rich and beautiful Rainforest of Costa Rica.   A second year trip to Costa Rica to study and do research in the field of Bioinformatics is also being offered. This trip is open to students who participated in the first year program in the summer of 2018.

Informational meetings for parents and students (current 9th-11th grade) Wednesday May 22, 2019 at 6:30 PM in the Lecture Hall for the first year program and at 7:30 for the second year program. Contact Dr. Boldt yvonne.boldt@providenceacademy.org for more information.
