May is traditionally observed by Catholics as the month devoted to honoring Mary, the Mother of Jesus. This year Providence Academy students from all three divisions will be celebrating Mary with our annual May Crowning on Wednesday, May 3rd at 2:25pm.
Students are encouraged, but not required, to bring a flower to school for Our Lady on Wednesday morning, May 3rd. Students will present the flowers at the feet of Mary’s statue inside the main doors of the school. Since the teachers and students of Providence Academy cannot physically stand at the feet of Jesus’ mother, we place our humble gifts in front of the image that keeps Her in our minds.
All members of our community are welcome to join the students at 2:25pm in front of the school.
