Ms. Morgan Emmans will be transitioning from the test center to Middle School Athletic Director and Activities Coordinator. Ms. Emmans has her Masters Degree from St. Cloud State University. She also played Collegiate Softball for the Huskies.

Mr. Charlie Kenney will be joining the PA Athletic staff as an Assistant Athletic Director. Mr. Kenney will focus on dome operations and equipment needs for the athletic department. Mr. Kenney has his Masters Degree from the University of MN.

Mr. Stephen McCarthy has been hired as the new Head Volleyball coach for Providence Academy. Coach McCarthy has prepared over 15,000 youth, high school, college athletes for over a span of 18 years. Currently, Stephen is a USAV certified official, a USAV Beach Impact and BCAP I certified volleyball coach, a member of JVA and AVCA, a sponsored JVA beach club, as well as, a ISSA certified personal trainer and fitness nutrition consultant.

Mr. Darren Kent has been hired as the new Head Coach for our Boys Basketball program. Coach DK has been with PA basketball for 3 years as a volunteer assistant. Coach DK graduated from Eastview HS,  played college basketball at Kansas State University and played professionally in France and Switzerland. While at KSU, DK was a captain his Senior year and appeared in the NCAA postseason three times, including the NCAA tournament. He has been coached by Hall of Fame Coach- Bob Huggins (Current Head Coach – West Virginia), Frank Martin (Current Head Coach – UMASS), and Brad Underwood (Current Head Coach – Illinois). When asked what his goals are for the program, Coach DK said, “My goals for the program are to instill life lessons that the boys can leverage later in life – family, faith, hard work, dedication, discipline, teamwork, humility, competitiveness, communication, leadership. Winning and having a successful program is great and will be a priority but we first want to build a foundation of outstanding young men in and outside of the classroom.”
