Thank you to all who attended the PAPA Open Meeting on April 27th. It was great to connect with new families at Providence as well as see familiar faces!  The two main purposes of our annual open meeting are to encourage nominations for the PAPA positions and to discuss other opportunities for parents to get involved at the school. We were energized by all the interest to get involved, serve and support Providence.
Nominations for the open positions were collected through our online nomination process. We are delighted to announce the following new members to serve on PAPA for 2-year terms:

Secretary: Tina Wallman
Tina has three children who attend Providence. She has served in many volunteer roles at Providence – such as parent tour guide, PA Ambassador, (for prospective families) and member of the Fall Fun Fair committee.

Treasurer: Jackie Anderson
Jackie has three children who attend Providence. She is a CPA that is currently employed at a public accounting firm. Her financial background will help the community as we continue to evolve in the financial aspects of PAPA.

Lower School Vice President: Anne Jewison
Anne also has three children at Providence (which includes a set of twins). Anne has been very involved by serving as a room parent, Fall Fun Fair committee, Grandparents’ Day, and the Gala committee.

Middle School Vice President: Elizabeth Schnobrich
Elizabeth has two children that attend Providence. She is a clinical psychologist and has worked with children and parents. She has unique experience in working with schools to help children find academic success.

I would like to personally thank all those parents who put their name forward to serve on the Executive Committee. We are blessed  to have so many parents interested in serving our school.
There is no shortage of additional leadership opportunities in serving our beloved school – the Fun Fair, Gala, New Parent Connections, PA Ambassadors and even sorting through used uniforms for our uniform sale.  Please watch for opportunities to be announced in the near term! Look in the PAPA section of the e-Bulletin for updates. You can also find opportunities under the “Volunteer” section on the Providence website.
We appreciate all parents who have volunteered and supported our faculty, staff and children at Providence Academy. Your generous gifts of time, effort and energy have helped us support many events and needs over this school year.
