The Minnesota Catholic Conference has asked Catholic schools to share the following message, with suggested actions, with our communities:
The legislature and governor “have reached a budget and tax agreement about how to spend the state surplus, which includes one billion dollars in new education funding. It is urgent that you call your legislators to ensure that the funding proposals below for our nonpublic school students get included in the final legislation. There should be equity between public and nonpublic school students, especially because our nonpublic schools have stepped up to meet the challenge of the pandemic and are serving more students with less public aid.”
