Middle School Athletics will be offering a boys baseball travel team option as well a North Suburban Parochial Schools League (NSPSL) teams option. The Travel team will consist of 6th and 7th graders and the NSPSL team will consist of 8th-6th graders. Both teams will participate in NSPSL.
We will be holding a tryout process for those who are interested in playing. The tryout is required for all who would like to participate in Middle School Baseball. The travel team will participate in weekend tournaments throughout the spring and summer months (details and official tournament dates are currently pending). If your child would not like to commit to weekends and travel, they still need to attend the tryout for NSPSL team placement.
The try out will be held on 1/25 from 3:30PM until 5PM in the Providence Academy dome. After the tryouts have concluded, the coaches will communicate with families to notify them of the teams. A second registration will be required to cover tournament fees and will be shared with the families after teams are made. If your child opts out of the travel option or does not make the travel team, NO additional fees will be required outside of the $225.00 registration fee to participate in the NSPSL.
We are hoping to have a travel team at the 7th grade level, however 6th graders are invited to try out.
