For the past two school years, the middle school had a temporary bring-your-own-device policy in place for our middle school students, as students have brought laptops or Chrome books to school and to each of their classes throughout the day. This was a necessary accommodation during Covid times to meet the specific needs our students faced in the last two school years. For this coming school year, our middle school will return to our previous technology policy, in which students may not bring devices to classes and any Chrome books needed in class will be supplied by the school. To that end, we are purchasing additional computers to supply our classes.
If you have purchased a new laptop or Chrome book for school in the past two years, these devices will still come in handy for home use as students complete assignments and check Infinite Campus and Moodle pages. At the same time, students are not required to have their own personal device to accomplish their daily homework, and families can decide the best way to ensure technology access as they prepare for the school year.
