Calling all 6th-9th graders! Are you looking to brush up on important math skills before the school year begins? If so, we have a program for you!  All students entering grades 6-9 who are looking to review key middle school math concepts are invited to this small group learning opportunity. Students will be reacquainted with middle school math concepts that will help prepare them for the new school year. These concepts will help students prepare for their next math course.  Mrs. Hunter will focus on the skills that will best prepare the participants for a successful start to the new school year.

Classes will meet at Providence Academy Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM and 9:30 AM-11:00 during the week of August 5-8. Students can register for one session or both sessions.

Skills they will re-visit during the 8:00-9:30 session:

  • Number Sense
  • Order of Operations: fractions, decimals, integers
  • Equations and Inequalities (8:00-9:30 session)
  • Algebraic expressions (9:30-11:00 session)
  • Real-life applications using review material
