Did you know that Providence Academy has a Drone Racing Team that came in 3rd place at the state tournament last year?  Quad Drone racing is an exciting and very new high school sport that lends itself quite well to social distancing while maintaining the thrill of live competition.  This year’s season begins in February and will incorporate cutting edge video technology to allow live racing at our own school against 22 other high schools and middle schools in Minneapolis.

Check out this link to the  YDSC-Youth Drone Sports Championship league to see drone pilots in action.  New, solderless drone kits are now available to give students of all abilities a chance to compete.  Pilots from last year can use their current drones or opt for a newer model.  All MS and US students are invited to an information session Thursday, 1/14 in the Physics Lab where you can see drones in action! Contact Mrs. Elise Sheehan for more information.
