Family Service Project Day: Saturday, March 5 in the Great Room
PAPA is looking for helpers to organize service projects for Family Service Day. We typically have 5-6 service projects to complete on site in the Great Room. Examples are preparing sandwiches to feed the homeless, creating packages for families adopting animals at the Humane Society, putting together Easter baskets for children staying at Mary’s Place shelter in Minneapolis, and more. The goal of the FSP is for parents to work side-by-side with their children to model the importance of giving of ourselves, our time, and our treasure to others in need. This is especially important as we enter the season of Lent, when we focus on prayer, sacrifice, and almsgiving (charity.)
If you would like to coordinate one of the projects for that day, please contact Emily Stearnes at . The committee has project ideas, or you may suggest a project that you would like to support and manage to the committee.
