As you may have seen on social media, eight of our seniors were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program. Out of the 16,000 seniors named as National Merit Semifinalists, five of those seniors are PA students, and out of the top 50,000 scorers of the 1.6 million students who entered the 2019 competition by taking the PSAT/NMSQT as juniors, three of our seniors were recognized as National Merit Commended students.
As I shared in our school’s press release, we are of course delighted and proud of our semifinalists and commended students, comprising ten percent of the senior class. We are delighted and proud, as well, of all of our students, who have chosen to commit to the rare path in academics, athletics, and arts that is Providence Academy.
Please help me congratulate our Semifinalists, Caitlin Heaney, Michael Mahoney, Connor McIntee, Gabriella Munger, and Harrison Vetter, and our Commended students, Eleanor Christianson, Dylan Drean, and Clara McMillan on this outstanding achievement.
