Cases fell sharply last week at PA, and in Minnesota. (The analyst whose graphs we share offers this caveat about the drop in state cases: “there is evidence that processing of Covid tests is lagging more than usual, so it is entirely possible that when all cases are reported that last week’s drop in cases will turn out to be less dramatic than it appears.”)
All students, faculty and staff who have had COVID at any point in the past 22 months have recovered and returned to school after their quarantines.
Below are updated graphs, by age, of MDH data on testing, cases, and hospitalizations. Takeaways: the rise in testing and sharp drop in cases varies from the longtime trend of case rates correlating with testing rates; hospitalizations among school-age children rose last week.
