PA continues its recent last-day-before-Christmas tradition of collecting for the needy in a classic American way: bell ringing and the famous red kettle. Middle Schoolers will be ringing, and we invite generous contributions.
Given some recent international controversy, I asked our Salvation Army’s Northern Division leader to assure us that proceeds raised here will serve the direct-relief needs of people. He responded: “All of the dollars raised will go directly to the needs of those we serve – the poor. I want to assure folks that we are NOT endorsing any new ideologies. Thanks for your help in bringing clarity to the situation.”
