The Providence Academy Athletics Department is excited to welcome two new team members.

Mr. Daren Messmore joins us as Assistant Athletic Director: Outdoor Athletic Complex and Dome Operations starting today. Mr. Messmore’s nine years of high school coaching and administrative experience will serve our community well.

As the Assistant Athletic Director: Outdoor Athletic Complex and Dome Operations, Mr. Messmore will focus his efforts on the overall administration and management of all facets of the daily operations of Providence Academy’s outdoor athletic complex, including the seasonal Dome in the winter season.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education (K-12) from North Dakota State University in Fargo and a Master of Education in Sport Management from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Please join me in welcoming Mr. Messmore to Providence Academy.

Also joining our department is former Division 1 soccer player, Miss Sarah Melhorn. Miss Melhorn is taking on the role of Assistant Athletic Director: Indoor Athletic Facility and Middle School A.D. She will be a key asset to the Athletics Department and her position will utilize her administrative talents. Miss. Melhorn begins her tenure at Providence Academy on Monday, June 19.

Key components of Miss Melhorn’s role include the administration of the Middle School Athletic Program and management of all facets of the daily operations of Providence Academy’s indoor athletic facility.

Miss Melhorn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. Miss Melhorn has also earned a Master in Sports Administration from Valparaiso University.
