Mr. Blackhawk joined Providence Academy as a Middle and Upper School Mathematics teacher after more than fifteen years of success teaching math to sixth through ninth grade students at St. Paul Academy and Summit School and in the Minneapolis Public Schools. He taught Algebra for more than a decade in the University of Minnesota's Talented Youth Mathematics Program. 1. He is an active singer of liturgical music and particularly enjoys singing Gregorian chant at several nearby parishes. He holds bachelor's degrees in Mathematics Education and Vocal Music Education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
