Mr. Blackhawk joined Providence Academy as a Middle and Upper School Mathematics teacher after more than fifteen years of success teaching math to sixth through ninth grade students at St. Paul Academy and Summit School and in the Minneapolis Public Schools. He taught Algebra for more than a decade in the University of Minnesota's Talented Youth Mathematics Program. He directs the St. Raphael Choir at the Catholic parish in Crystal and heads up a Gregorian chant schola. He holds bachelor's degrees in Mathematics Education and Vocal Music Education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
