Mr. Adam C. Schmalzbauer serves as an Upper School English teacher at Providence. Responsible for instructing the Senior English Seminar and teaching British Literature to freshmen, Mr. Schmalzbauer also runs the Summer Strength and Conditioning program for Providence students. A multi-sport coach, Mr. Schmalzbauer is Head of the Boys Basketball program as well as the Offensive Linemen Coach for Providence Academy’s Varsity Football team. Mr. Schmalzbauer is an alumnus of Saint John’s University where he minored in Spanish literature before earning a bachelor’s in English Teaching from Winona State University. Mr. Schmalzbauer, who came to Providence from Rochester Lourdes High School, holds the distinction of being a professional writer, having published a series of sports history books for students.
