Providence Academy is a private, Catholic, co-educational pre-K-12 college preparatory school. It is located on Schmidt Lake Road in Plymouth, Minnesota. As a private Roman Catholic School, Providence Academy strives to enhance the spiritual life of every student through both formal religious education and by fostering a faith-filled environment. Providence Academy offers a quality academic experience within the Catholic tradition.

Our curriculum creates both awareness and respect for those virtues and values which ennoble the best of our western heritage. A core knowledge approach to learning begins with an important question: what specific, factual knowledge does a young person need to know in order to succeed in his or her own personal, professional and spiritual life? The academic program answers this by identifying the critical knowledge and skills which are to be taught at each grade level. The curriculum is consistent from one classroom to the next and is sequenced without repetition from grade to grade.

Providence Academy held its groundbreaking on March 25, 2000 and the school opened its doors to its first class in September 2001.  The campus is planned to eventually accommodate about 1,000 students. The school contains classrooms, modern science, technology and computer labs, and a full complement of traditional learning space. In addition, the school has facilities for sports, music, drama and other extra-curricular activities.

Providence Academy teaches classes in Pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade and graduated its first class of seniors in June 2005.  The Academy maintains small class sizes to enhance learning.
