Girls Basketball Overview

The Girls'
Basketball program at Providence Academy offers participation for students
in grades 6-12. This past school year Providence hosted 5 different girls
teams with levels ranging from middle school to high school varsity. The
varsity program is registered with the Minnesota State High School League
and the team participates in the Minnesota Christian Athletic Association as
their primary conference. Over the course of the season the varsity team
plays 26 games, 14 within the conference and 12 non-conference. In a
typical year the team will schedule games against non-conference opponents
that include: St. Paul Academy, Mounds Park Academy, St. Paul Harding and
St. John's Prep to name a few.

Coach: Mr. Kurt
Jaeger

The head coach
of the program is Mr. Kurt Jaeger. Coach Jaeger has been a teacher and
coach the past 15 years spending the last 6 at Providence Academy. He has
been the head coach of the girls program the past 5 seasons. In that time
the team and individuals have experienced many successes including a 1,000
point scorer, having a graduate go on to a college career at St. Thomas,
winning the Mounds Park Academy Christmas tournament 2 of the past 3
years and having the team advance in the post season 2 of 4 years.
