Providence Academy has a fielded a girl’s golf team since the spring of 2003, beginning by playing a limited Junior Varsity schedule.  Since that time the team has improved greatly, culminating with a fourth place finish in the state tournament in 2007.  The school’s conference does not have girls golf so the team plays an independent schedule against 1A, 2A and 3A schools, along with a couple of eighteen hole invitationals each year.  The team also hosts its own eight team invitational.  The current team has four letter winners returning, including two girls who were instrumental in the section championship, and subsequent state tournament appearance.
