Providence Academy is pleased to announce that Annual
Fund gifts can now be made online, through GiveMN. With
the help of partners and funders, GiveMN covers
transaction costs so that 100% of donations go directly
to the Academy. Visa, MasterCard and American Express
are accepted and gifts can be scheduled on a one-time
basis, or in installments (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly,
quarterly, annually). More
Annual Fund information, and a link to GiveMN, can
be found on the PA website.
Thank you to so many who have
already made donations and pledges to the 2009-10 Annual
Fund. The first look at family participation by grade
will appear in the February Lions’ Pride.

In this cold winter weather, just a reminder for home
game fans: Note that for all indoor games, the main
doors to the building are locked for security reasons.
Please use the athletic entrances found either at the
front southwest entry or at the back east doors of the
north building near the senior parking lot.

And speaking of weather, we’re thinking about the
beautiful sunshine and green greens that go along with
the annual Providence Academy Golf Classic. The
January issue of
Plymouth Magazine includes a photo gallery from
the 2009 Athletics fundraiser. Watch for the 2010
tournament date to be announced soon.

Seniors
Admission Decisions
Many seniors will receive decisions about early action applications, some
acceptances, denials, deferrals, and possibly a waitlist situation. Seniors
should feel free to contact Mrs. Otten for advice on how to proceed with any
'limbo' decision. A reminder to seniors that mid-year (semester) grades are
automatically sent out to all colleges where they have active applications
(i.e., the student has not been denied or withdrawn).
Financial Aid
Seniors are encouraged to apply for financial aid, merit-based and
need-based, and now is the time to begin filing the appropriate forms. The
majority of colleges and universities require the FAFSA (Free Application for
Federal Student Aid), while some require the CSS PROFILE (through College
Board). Both are accessible online;
www.fafsa.ed.gov and
https://profileonline.collegeboard.com/index.jsp. Please check with each
college regarding deadlines for the FAFSA and CSS Profile (if required).
