Boys Golf Overview

The Boys'
Golf Program at Providence Academy offers participation for students in
grades 7-12. The JV and Varsity teams consists of twenty players that
compete during the spring season within the MCAA Conference. The
typical schedule includes nine conference tournaments,
five non-conference events, and three 18- hole Invititationals. The P.A.
golfers have the opportunity to play and practice at some of the most
prestigious public and private golf courses in Minnesota. Boys golf was
the first team at Providence Academy to compete at the varsity level
(2003).

Coach: Mr. Mike
Sieffert
|
|
The head coach
of the program is Mr. Mike Seiffert. Coach Seiffert is a teacher at
the Academy and also a class A Member of the Professional Golf Association.
He is the Teaching Professional at Begin Oaks Gof Course in Plymouth during
the summer months. Entering his 5th season, Coach Seiffert's players have
enjoyed great success on the course. Eight players have earned
All-Conference honors, while another 4 players have been
named All-Conference Honorable Mention. Two other players have advanced to
sectional play. The team looks to make a run at their first Conference
Championship this spring. |
