Admissions Process
“I loved my time at Providence Academy, but I didn't realize how unique the school is until after I graduated...I found that I was more secure in my faith than the majority of my friends who went to other parochial schools, I was more prepared for the academic rigor of college than most of my friends who went to prestigious preparatory schools, and I was more able to make sound decisions and more capable of living on my own than nearly every one of my peers. I could not be more grateful for Providence's dedication to ‘Faith, Knowledge, and Virtue,’ as the commitment not only to academic development, but spiritual and moral development as well, truly prepared me for the world outside our beautiful yellow halls”. – a Providence alumna
Providence Academy seeks to enroll a student body that is:
- Committed to learning
- Of strong moral character
- Multi-talented with a variety of interests
- Enthusiastic about a faith-centered community
- Interested in developing themselves to the fullest in faith, knowledge, and virtue
To be successful in the college-prep rigor at Providence Academy, admissions standards require students to have a transcript or report card showing academics at grade level or above. Students are expected to have a history of positive behavior. Siblings of current students are given priority placement if applications are received by the first round deadline in mid-January.

The Admissions Committee takes the following into consideration when evaluating students for admission*:

Application Review and Notification
Applications received by the priority mid-January deadline will receive notification by early March, provided interviews were completed and supporting documents received by mid-February. Beginning in March, all new applications will be reviewed and applicants notified on a rolling basis until classes are full. Applications for mid-year enrollment are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Wait Pool
Some grade levels may, at times, be at a maximum enrollment: applicants for these grades may be placed in a waiting pool. Please note that it is important for applicants to complete all aspects of the admissions process in a timely manner to ensure a timely decision.
Enrollment Contract and Tuition Deposit
Upon acceptance, the Academy issues an enrollment agreement to the parents or legal guardian. A signed enrollment agreement and $750 tuition deposit submitted by the deadline printed on the contract holds a space in the class. Two-thirds of the remaining tuition is due by July 1 of the entering academic year and the final one-third balance is due by December 31. Mid-year enrollees are asked to pay the balance of tuition by the first day of enrollment.
Nondiscriminatory Policy
Providence Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies and financial aid programs, athletic and other school-administered programs.
