Affordability

Affordability

“It’s going to be very difficult to say good-bye to PA. It’s one of the single biggest, best things that has happened to us in our whole lives.”

In any economic climate, a Providence Academy education may well be one of the wisest investments you could make for your child. A study from the federal government’s National Center for Education Statistics recently revealed that more than 5 million students in the United States attend nearly 30,000 private elementary and high schools. Yet, to a number of families, a Providence Academy education may seem out-of-reach. It need not be. Determining that a Providence education is a best value for your student(s) is first and foremost and financial planning is key to sustaining affordability until graduation!

A Best Value in Education
Though we believe that Providence Academy offers educational opportunities that are second to none, we work hard to keep our tuition second to many. In fact, ours consistently ranks below the median of other leading private schools, both locally and nationally.

Providence Academy offers many advantages for the tuition value:

» Traditional Education: We do not follow the fads of the day. We offer a comprehensive and challenging curriculum built on the accumulated wisdom of the ages, with the complement of a wide range of extracurricular activities to challenge both the mind and the body.

»  Outstanding Faculty: We are serious about education. We view the formation of each student as a creative and well-informed thinker as our responsibility. Students benefit from enhanced student-faculty relationships.

»  Christian Vision: We believe that our children are created in God’s image and we provide a strong foundation in the Catholic faith where God is at the center.

»  Successful graduates:  We produce a superior product. Competitive colleges and the current workplace demand personnel that possess a blend of intelligence, practical skills, moral values, and spiritual maturity. We help students discover and develop their gifts in each of these areas so that they are prepared to offer practical and insightful solutions in their post-secondary lives as future civic, family, religious, and professional leaders. The reality, however, is that tuition revenue alone does not cover this level of excellence. To keep tuition affordable, the school relies on other revenue sources such as annual and capital giving, and investment interest. As an independent school, Providence Academy does not receive funding from local, state and federal governments.

Financial Planning

For many families, affording a PA education takes planning and employing several strategies to keep costs within reach. For these families, offering their children the opportunity to experience Providence means making some very difficult financial decisions and choices. During this planning, it is important for each family to realize that they bear the primary responsibility for financing their child’s education to the extent that they are able.

Providence is committed to offering help to families in planning and making appropriate choices to afford tuition. Options include the tuition payment plan, multiple student discounts, freshman scholarships, and grant awards for families demonstrating financial need.
