Providence Academy Athletics:  A Growing Tradition

After only six years of operation, Providence Academy’s athletic department continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

“Our programs are blossoming,” said Kurt Jaeger the Academy’s athletic director.  “Our enrollment has grown to nearly 830 projected students for the 2007-08 school year, and as a result our athletic programs have expanded to meet the needs of a diverse and talented group of student athletes.”

During the 2006-07 school year, 19 Varsity sports offerings were available to students in grades seven through twelve.  Within those 19 offerings, 51 Athletes were named All Conference or honorable mention, and two teams and 11 individual athletes qualified for state competition.  Providence also won four conference championships out of 17 possible opportunities, and four teams reached the Section Finals. 

“We look forward to the continued success of our athletic program,” said Todd Flanders, Academy Headmaster.  “Our student athletes have created a unique culture in which they strive for success on the field and in the classroom.  It’s a winning combination.”
