Providence Academy Announces Lion’s Scholarship Grant Winners

Providence Academy proudly announces its Lion’s Scholarship Grant winners for the 2007-2008 school year. 

Steven Swenson and Genevieve McCarthy are this year’s scholarship recipients, and the grants can be used for the 2007-2008 Providence school year.  The grants, valued at $1,000.00 each, are given to incoming freshmen based on the strength of their admission materials, including admission test scores, student interview and school record.  Both Steven and Genevieve received high marks on their admission entrance exams, and praise from the committee on their well-rounded admission files.  They truly have proven to exemplify the Providence Academy motto of faith, knowledge and virtue.

Swenson, the son of Earl and Therese Swenson of Minnetonka, is currently an eighth grade student at Holy Family Academy in St. Louis Park, MN.  McCarthy, daughter of Mark and Teresa McCarthy of Edina, is currently an eighth grader at South View Middle School in Edina, MN.
